Save the Music Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring and sustaining music programs in public schools.

Our campaign leverages the insight that people who learn music at a young age develop a heightened anticipation for the beat drop. We use of the tension of a missing beat drop to show what’s lost when music programs are removed.

The Buildup

We’ll collaborate with well-known DJs who have a background in music education to re-release one of their iconic tracks. Except this time around, we’ll have them remove the beat drop altogether and replace it with our message. The re-releases will be promoted across Spotify, X, and Reddit.

Artist Message

The Release

Just as the beat is about to drop, the track will pause. Instead of the expected payoff, the artist shares how music education shaped their journey and made that track possible. Artists urge the listeners to imagine a world without music education and connect that to the emotions the feel while listening. It ends with a call to action to support STM and “let the beat drop” for young musicians.
